Position Overview:

In a highly competitive marketplace, it is critical for Healthstat to maintain a leadership position by generating awareness, engagement, and loyalty among prospective clients, current clients, client advocates, and clinic participants. Our content must appeal to and inform each of these groups. Content will range from print to web, and ads to longer-form content. The style of content will include persuasive and educational information.

We are seeking a candidate with impeccable writing skills, who can quickly interpret stakeholder needs and work well under tight time constraints. Must have web and mobile experience. The Copywriter would work closely with the company’s Content Strategist and Communications Manager to develop content for advertising, signage, social media, blogs, sales collateral, SEO web content, B2B and B2C communications and internal purposes. The Copywriter will be well versed in the current state of our industry and stay up-to-date in order to write compelling and newsworthy copy.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy
  • Develop original concepts that result in effective and compelling communications
  • Be a self-thinker, not simply repeating what has been told or read from others
  • Ask good questions and exhibit an eagerness to learn about Healthstat and the market
  • Understand different language styles which appeal to various target markets
  • Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Experience with search engine optimization
  • Familiarity with commonly used style guides
  • Experience in subjects aligned with the position such as healthcare delivery, public health, wellness, food and nutrition, etc.
  • Interpret and communicate complex information in a manner which is easily understood by different audiences
  • Demonstrate passion for improving community health and wellness


  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred in healthcare copywriting
  • Strong writing skills, creativity and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skill with ability to evaluate and analyze situations to provide recommended solutions
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, particularly in the areas of business organization, economics, technology and human behavior.
  • Ability to adhere to and promote the Healthstat brand
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Able to sit at a desk in an office environment
